Cookie Policy

Effective from: 2026-10-07 · v1.1

§1 What cookies and local storage are

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Polish version of this Cookie Policy is the legally binding one.

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the browser on the user's device (computer, phone, tablet) and can read later. Browser local storage (localStorage) plays a similar role, allowing a website to keep information between visits. In this Policy we refer to both mechanisms together as “cookies”, unless they need to be distinguished.

This Policy describes which cookies are used by the chocoyeee.pl website (the “Website”) operated by Truders Sp. z o.o. (“we”), for what purpose, and how you can manage your decision.

§2 Legal basis

The rules for storing and reading information on the user's device are set out in Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law of 12 July 2024 (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej). Under this provision:

  • cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user or to transmit data over the network may be used without consent, provided we inform about them in this Policy;
  • all other cookies (e.g. analytics or marketing cookies) may be used only after obtaining the user's prior consent, given in the cookie panel.

Where information stored in cookies constitutes personal data, we process it in accordance with the GDPR and the Privacy Policy.

§3 Cookies used on the Website

The Website uses only strictly necessary cookies:

  • chocoyeee-consent (browser local storage) - stores the decision made in the cookie panel: a random consent identifier, the choices in each category, the policy version and the decision date, as well as a queue of entries waiting to be saved in the consent register until their receipt is confirmed. Purpose: respecting the user's decision and not showing the banner on every visit. Duration: it does not expire on its own - it remains until the site data is cleared in the browser or the decision is changed in the panel. When the policy version changes, we will ask for a decision again.
  • NEXT_LOCALE (session cookie, first-party) - remembers the selected language version of the Website (Polish, English or German). It is set only when the user switches language or opens a language version other than the one preferred in their browser. Purpose: displaying the Website in the selected language when the user visits an address without a language indicator (e.g. the home page). Duration: until the browser is closed.

In addition, every decision made in the cookie panel is recorded in our consent register (without name or email address, and with a hash of the IP address instead of the address itself). The rules for keeping the register are set out in §6 of the Privacy Policy.

We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar tracking tools.

§4 Cookie consent panel

On your first visit to the Website we display a cookie banner. The banner does not block the use of the Website and contains three buttons:

  • “Accept all” - consent to all cookie categories;
  • “Reject” - strictly necessary cookies only; this button is just as visible and just as easy to use as “Accept all”;
  • “Settings” - choosing individual categories.

You can change or withdraw your decision at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page of the Website. Withdrawing consent takes effect for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of the earlier use of cookies.

The panel covers the following categories:

  • strictly necessary - always active, do not require consent (described in §3);
  • analytics - would be used to collect visit statistics;
  • marketing - would be used to measure advertising effectiveness and show ads tailored to the user.

As of the effective date of this Policy, no tool is connected to the analytics or marketing category - consenting to these categories does not currently cause any additional cookies to be stored. If we introduce such tools, we will load them only after consent has been given and will first update this Policy, naming the provider, purpose and retention period.

§5 External services and cookies

  • Error monitoring (Sentry) - the tool that records technical errors on the Website does not store or read cookies or data in browser local storage and does not record sessions, so it does not require consent. The rules for processing technical data are set out in the Privacy Policy.
  • Form protection (Cloudflare Turnstile, Vercel BotID) - anti-spam safeguards of the partner form described in the Privacy Policy. We load Turnstile only when the user approaches the form; it runs in a separate frame from the challenges.cloudflare.com domain and may store in the browser technical data needed to tell a person from a bot. These mechanisms are strictly necessary to securely send the submission requested by the user and are not used for analytics or advertising, so they do not require consent.
  • Fonts - are served from our own server; the Website does not connect to Google Fonts.
  • External links - the WhatsApp button, the sklep.truders.pl shop, the truders.pl website and the brand's Instagram and Facebook profiles are plain links. The Website does not embed widgets of these services, so they do not store cookies while you are on the Website. Once you go to them, their own cookie rules apply.

§6 Managing cookies in your browser

Regardless of the cookie panel, you can use your browser settings to block cookies, delete stored cookies and site data (including local storage) or turn on notifications when they are stored. Instructions for popular browsers:

  • Google Chrome - support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
  • Mozilla Firefox - support.mozilla.org/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer
  • Safari - support.apple.com/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac
  • Microsoft Edge - support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge

Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies will not prevent you from browsing the Website, but the cookie banner may be shown again and the selected language may not be remembered.

§7 Cookies and personal data

The controller of personal data related to cookies is Truders Sp. z o.o. (registration details in §1 of the Privacy Policy). The purposes, legal bases, recipients of data and the rights of data subjects are described in the Privacy Policy.

§8 Changes to this Cookie Policy

We update this Policy when the technologies used on the Website or the law change. After a significant change, the cookie panel will ask for your decision again. Please send any questions about cookies to biuro@truders.pl.

The Polish version of this Policy is the binding one. This Policy is effective as of 1 October 2026.
